The Gabriola Tool Library would like to acknowledge all the recent generous donations of power tools and hand tools. In the true spirit of community sharing, these tools were donated to the GTL. The benefits realized by members of the Tool Library will be significant, and will no doubt be used in lots of member projects on Gabriola.
Once again, thanks goes out to all our members and donators for supporting the GTL and continuing to help make Gabriola a special place to live and create!
Library hours and payments
It was decided by the GTL in 2020 to close tool library services during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Tool Library reopened in June 2020 with shorter hours. We are now open only on Saturdays from 10 am to 12 noon.
To minimize wait times, we request that you reserve items online ahead of time (if possible) and try to return items closer to 10 am than 12 Noon.
Cash, cheque or e-transfer for memberships will be accepted. For those with overdue tools, please return them as soon as possible.
Library Closing Temporarily
It has been decided to suspend tool library services during the COVID-19 pandemic. The library is now closed and will remain so for the time being. We will continue to monitor information and guidance from officials to decide when it will be prudent to reopen.
If you presently have tools out on loan, we ask that you keep them until we notify you that we are open for business again. Be assured that late fees will not be charged during the time of our shutdown and ask that you ignore any automated e-mails during the shutdown that you may receive regarding late fees.
