Gabriola Tool Library Liability Waiver                                                 June 20, 2018

I, ___________________________________ (print name) make the following covenants, statements, and representations:

· I recognize that the tools in the Gabriola Tool Library inventory are for the use of Gabriola Tool Library members only.

  • I take responsibility for the safe and proper use of any tool I borrow from the         Gabriola Tool Library

I will return any tool I borrow in the same or better condition than when I borrowed it, and report immediately any defect or damage to any tool I borrow.

  • I do hereby for myself, on behalf of my successors and assigns, in consideration of being permitted to borrow tools, waive any and all claims against the Gabriola Tool Library Association, its directors, officers, agents, volunteers and employees for any injury or injuries of any nature that I may suffer or incur in the use of any tool that I borrow from the Gabriola Tool Library.
  • In consideration of being permitted to borrow tools, I hereby agree for myself and on behalf of my successors and assigns to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Gabriola Tool Library Association, its directors, officers, agents, volunteers, and employees from any and all liability, loss, claims, and demands, actions or causes of action for the death or injury to any person and for any property damage suffered or incurred by any person which arises or may arise or be occasioned in any way from the use of any tool I borrow from the Gabriola Tool Library.
  • I am aware that the Gabriola Tool Library, its partners, directors, officers, members, volunteers, and employees claim no expertise and make no representation concerning the fitness of any tool for any particular use.
  • I have read and fully understand the Membership Agreement and Tool Use Policy of the Gabriola Tool Library and understand that failure to comply with any of its rules may result in revocation of my borrowing privileges, legal action against me, or both.
